Twenty years after the original series ended, a new generation of the Ewing family battles over the future of the family's Texas oil empire and Southfork Ranch. (IMDb) Developed by Cynthia Cidre as a continuation of David Jacobs's 1978 soap opera, the series premiered on TNT on 13 June 2012 and ran three seasons. Josh Henderson stars as John Ross Ewing III, son of J.R. and Sue Ellen and rival to his cousin Christopher, played by Jesse Metcalfe, opposite Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, and Larry Hagman as J.R. Worn by Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing. J.R. keeps the gold Rolex on a black leather strap fitted with gold plaques carrying his initials that he had worn through the later seasons of the original series. Forumamontres member Schmolduck, ahead of the 13 June 2012 premiere, posted a frame of the clasped hands, the gold watch and the initialled strap and read the watch as a Rolex, and the fan site Dallas Decoder, reviewing the pilot "Changing of the Guard", describes the camera settling on the watch as Bobby visits J.R. in the nursing home, a commenter there attributing the diamond-set 18-karat band to Edward H. Bolin, who made it for Hagman. Both sources stop at the maker, and the frame, a close-up of the hands, does not resolve the model.
