Dearest

Ayuko Tsukahara's ten-episode Japanese crime drama, adapted from Ryo Asai's novel Saiai. Rio Sanada, the president of a wellness company and one of Japan's most closely watched young executives, becomes a material witness to a double murder that reopens a disappearance from her hometown fifteen years earlier, drawing her back into contact with the detective she once loved. Yuriko Yoshitaka stars as Rio, alongside Kohei Matsushita and Arata Iura. The series aired on TBS from October to December 2021 before streaming internationally on Netflix. (IMDb)
