Euphoria (2019 to present) is Sam Levinson's HBO drama, adapted from the Israeli series of the same name, following a group of high-schoolers in the fictional East Highland, California, narrated by Zendaya's Rue Bennett; the first season ran from June 16, 2019, and the third, set five years on, from April 12 to May 31, 2026. Costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas told British GQ that prop master Joshua Bramer sourced a yellow-gold Rolex Day-Date for Nate, now running his father's construction business and "consciously trying to impress people", which he wears to the barbecue thrown for potential investors in episode 2, "America My Dream" (April 19, 2026), and at his wedding to Cassie in episode 3, "The Ballad of Paladin" (April 26, 2026); she matched it to gold cufflinks and a gold wedding band so "all of the metals" would agree, and said the plan was to show fewer such pieces as his confidence dwindles.
