Human Vapor (ガス人間) is an eight-episode Netflix series released on 2 July 2026, a present-day reboot of Toho's 1960 film The Human Vapor written and executive-produced by Yeon Sang-ho and directed by Shinzo Katayama. Shun Oguri and Yu Aoi lead the cast as the detective Kenji Okamoto and the reporter Kyoko Kono, and Yutaka Takenouchi plays the present-day Yasutoshi Mori, a former yakuza who now heads a listed company.
