Kabanya no Souzoku

WOWOW's Renzoku Drama W anthology strand adapts four of the six short stories Jun Ikeido, author of Shitamachi Rocket, published between 2005 and 2008, each a self-contained episode about working men caught between corporate failure, debt, and betrayal, and each headlined by a different lead. In the opening segment, "Juunenme no Christmas" ("The Tenth Year's Christmas"), Tokyo Daiichi Bank loan investigator Shinji Nagashima (Keita Machida) spots Hikoichi Kamuro (Takaya Kamikawa), the once-favored client whose loan he arranged a decade earlier and whose company later went bankrupt, living conspicuously well years after vanishing, and quietly investigates.
