Kamen Rider (仮面ライダー), the 1979 series retitled New Kamen Rider (新・仮面ライダー) in reruns and known by its hero's name Skyrider, is the sixth series in Toei and Ishimori Productions' Kamen Rider franchise, broadcast on the Mainichi Broadcasting System on Friday evenings from October 5, 1979 to October 10, 1980. Hiroshi Tsukuba, rebuilt by a kidnapped scientist after the Neo-Shocker organization attacks him, fights back as the flying Skyrider, transforming with the windmill Tornado belt; the series revived the franchise after a six-year gap and brought back the earlier Riders as guests.
