Kamen Rider BLACK (仮面ライダーBLACK) is the eighth series in Toei and Ishimori Productions' Kamen Rider franchise, a co-production with the Mainichi Broadcasting System broadcast on the JNN network from October 4, 1987 to October 9, 1988. Kotaro Minami and his foster brother Nobuhiko Akizuki are abducted on their nineteenth birthday by the Gorgom cult and remade as rival Century Kings; Kotaro escapes as Kamen Rider BLACK, powered by the Kingstone in his belt, while Nobuhiko emerges as the silver Shadow Moon, the rival whose duels define the series.
