Kamen Rider Ex-Aid (仮面ライダーエグゼイド) is a Toei tokusatsu drama and the twenty-seventh Kamen Rider series, broadcast on TV Asahi from October 2, 2016 to August 27, 2017 for the franchise's 45th anniversary. Built on a video-game motif, it follows pediatric intern and gamer Emu Hojo, who transforms with Gashat cartridges to cure the Bugster virus; its late antagonist Masamune Dan becomes Kamen Rider Chronos, whose Pause power freezes time, symbolized by a giant clock.
