Lucifer is a supernatural procedural developed by Tom Kapinos for Fox, later continued by Netflix, based on the character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC's The Sandman. Tom Ellis stars as Lucifer Morningstar, who abandons Hell to run a Los Angeles nightclub; when a singer is murdered outside his club, he partners with LAPD detective Chloe Decker, played by Lauren German, to find her killer, drawing the attention of the angel Amenadiel, played by D.B.
