Shantaram is an Apple TV+ crime drama created by Eric Warren Singer and Steve Lightfoot, adapted from Gregory David Roberts's 2003 novel. (IMDb) Lindsay "Lin" Ford, an Australian bank robber who has escaped prison and fled to 1980s Bombay, tries to lose himself in the city's underworld of slums, bars, and black-market trade, and falls for the enigmatic Karla while building a new life under a borrowed name. Charlie Hunnam stars as Lin opposite Luke Pasqualino as fellow expatriate Maurizio Belcane, with Fayssal Bazzi as Abdullah Taheri, Sujaya Dasgupta as Kavita, and Antonia Desplat as Karla Saaranen.
