Stay Tuned! (チャンネルはそのまま！) is a 2019 comedy drama produced to mark the 50th anniversary of Hokkaido Television Broadcasting (HTB), adapted from Noriko Sasaki's manga of the same name and directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro of Bayside Shakedown fame. Kyoko Yoshine stars as Hanako Yukimaru, a hapless rookie reporter at the fictional Sapporo station HHTV who was hired through the station's mysterious "idiot quota," and whose chronic blunders somehow keep landing her in the middle of real scoops. Hiroki Iijima plays fellow reporter Hajime Yamane, exhausted from constantly covering for her, while the ensemble cast draws heavily on the comedy troupe TEAM NACS. Yo Oizumi plays Masayoshi Kanbara, a charismatic agricultural technician who keeps his distance from the media but is swept into Hanako's orbit regardless. HTB co-produced the series with Netflix, which streamed it internationally as Stay Tuned! from March 2019. (Wikipedia)
