Stranger (비밀의 숲, "Secret Forest") is a tvN crime thriller created by writer Lee Soo-yeon, first broadcast June 10, 2017 and distributed internationally by Netflix as Stranger. Cho Seung-woo plays Hwang Si-mok, a prosecutor whose childhood brain surgery left him without ordinary emotional responses; he partners with detective Han Yeo-jin, played by Bae Doona, after a murder investigation exposes a corruption network linking the prosecutors' office to a private conglomerate. A second season, airing in 2020, moves the same pairing into a turf war between the police and the prosecution. (IMDb)
