The Good Place

Michael Schur's NBC afterlife comedy. Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) wakes up dead and is welcomed to "the Good Place," a paradisiacal neighborhood the architect Michael (Ted Danson) says she earned through a lifetime of ethical living, except that she is quite certain that she did not and was sent there by mistake. Over four seasons the show becomes a study of moral philosophy staged as sitcom, its central quartet learning to be better people under Michael's, and eventually the show's own, changing rules. Introduced in the final season as the fourth human test subject sent to the experimental Good Place, the bigoted, self-satisfied executive Brent Norwalk wears a yellow-gold Rolex Submariner with a blue dial through the season, and the Rolex name itself is name-checked in one episode. Montres de Luxe names only the line, with no reference; the blue-dial gold execution fits either the discontinued aluminum-bezel 16618, sold until 2010, or the ceramic-bezel 116618LN current at the time of broadcast, and no source distinguishes between them.
