The Looming Tower is a Hulu limited series created by Dan Futterman, Alex Gibney and Lawrence Wright from Wright's 2006 book of the same name, dramatizing the rivalry between the CIA and FBI counterterrorism units in the years leading up to the September 11 attacks. Jeff Daniels plays John O'Neill, chief of the FBI's New York counterterrorism unit "I-49," opposite Tahar Rahim as a fictionalized FBI agent embedded with the unit.
