Zenkamono (前科者 -新米保護司・阿川佳代-) is a six-episode WOWOW drama that aired from 20 November to 25 December 2021, based on the manga by Masahito Kagawa and Toji Tsukishima serialized in Big Comic Original. Kasumi Arimura stars as Kayo Agawa, a newly appointed volunteer probation officer working an unpaid convenience-store job to make ends meet while guiding three ex-offenders, played by Shizuka Ishibashi, Shunsuke Daito, and Kotone Furukawa, through rehabilitation and social reintegration. Satoshi Hashimoto plays Kayo's father, Michinosuke Agawa. The drama's popularity led to a theatrical film adaptation, released in January 2022 with much of the same cast. (TMDB)
