Bohemia Interactive's debut Arma title, released for Windows in November 2006 in the Czech Republic and through early 2007 elsewhere via 505 Games (Europe) and Atari (North America). Set on the fictional Atlantic island of Sahrani, it casts the player as an American soldier in a conflict between the island's Communist north and oil-rich monarchist south, establishing the series' hallmark open terrain and equipment simulation from its first release. Watches

Stocker & Yale 490
Armed Assault's default watch, available to every soldier and civilian at a keypress, is modeled on the Stocker & Yale 490: Bohemia Interactive designer Karel Mořický's 2024 retrospective of the studio's in-game watches states "Both Arma: Armed Assault and Arma 2 shared the same timepiece - Stocker & Yale 490, actual military watch manufactured to US specification MIL-W-46374." A developer statement establishing the design source, corroborated by the Armed Assault Wiki's account of the watch as a default-available HUD item bound to the O key.
