Rockstar's 2004 open-world landmark follows Carl "CJ" Johnson home to the state of San Andreas, a satirical early-1990s California and Nevada of gang wars, casinos and celebrity. Developed by Rockstar North for PlayStation 2 and later ported widely, it embedded its consumer satire everywhere, including a parody luxury-watch economy: CJ can buy watches at the designer boutique Didier Sachs, and the fictional brand's billboards hang over Rodeo. Rolex Datejust
The Gold and Silver "Crowex" watches CJ can buy at Didier Sachs, the most expensive watches in the game, are the series' standing Rolex parody: two independent community references agree the brand parodies Rolex, with the Gold and Silver Crowex based on the Rolex Datejust, and the in-game brand runs the joke openly ("When you're too rich to care what time it is" reads the 1992-set billboard slogan). Rockstar licenses no watch brand, so this is a clearly-derived look-alike cataloged as a real-adjacent appearance of the Rolex Datejust; the PS2-era wrist model itself resolves no detail narrower than the parody's stated basis.
