MOTHER3 is a role-playing video game written and directed by Shigesato Itoi, developed by Brownie Brown and HAL Laboratory, and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance in Japan on April 20, 2006, the third entry in the MOTHER series (released in North America as EarthBound). Protagonist Lucas and his party race to stop a mysterious military force, the Pigmask Army, from corrupting their island world by pulling all seven of the Magypsies' Needles that keep a slumbering dragon at rest, a journey that turns Lucas's own family and hometown against him along the way. The game was never officially localized outside Japan, though it retains a large English-language fan following built around a long-standing fan translation. (Wikipedia)
