Bvlgari Octo
More actions
The Bvlgari Octo is the faceted case architecture creative director Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani introduced for Bvlgari in 2012, fusing a round bezel into an eight-sided middle case built from 110 individually finished facets in alternating polished and satin steel, a form the brand traces to the octagon's role in Roman and Byzantine architecture. The launch executions ran the in-house automatic Solotempo (caliber BVL 191, hours, minutes, seconds and date) and an in-house chronograph; Bvlgari later spun off the ultra-thin Octo Finissimo in 2014 as a related but distinct line. (Bvlgari; The Jewellery Editor) No single reference covers the line's screen record. Yoo Hae-jin wears one as amnesiac hitman Choi Hyung-wook in the South Korean comedy Luck-Key.
