The Cartier Ballon Bleu de Cartier W6920034 is a 28 mm execution of the line Cartier introduced in 2007, named for the faceted synthetic spinel cabochon that appears to float against the fluted crown like a small blue balloon. This reference cases a quartz movement in a steel and 18-karat rose-gold bracelet and case, its convex, brancard-free silhouette breaking from the Tank and Santos families' rectilinear lugs, with a pink mother-of-pearl dial under Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands. Cartier has since discontinued the reference. Reiko Takashima wears it as the apparel house HIRAKATA's press liaison in Apparel Designer (2020), per the supplier's costume-loan record. (Jackroad)
