The Cartier Santos-Dumont descends from the 1904 wristwatch Louis Cartier made for the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, and the modern line keeps that lineage: a flat square bezel fixed by exposed screws, Roman numerals, a rail-track minute ring, and a blued sword-hand set with a sapphire-cabochon crown. The current Santos-Dumont is offered in hand-wound and quartz executions across several case sizes. In In the Grey, Jake Gyllenhaal wears a steel Santos-Dumont on a blue strap; because the frame does not resolve the case size, the entry stays at the model level with no reference.
