It marks Hello Kitty's 45th anniversary and BABY-G's 25th anniversary together, themed after the "Pink Quilt Series" popular with young Hello Kitty fans in the 1990s: a pink case, a quilted-stitch dial with metal flower details, a "B" at 5 o'clock, and a Hello Kitty face at 9 o'clock. The caseback is engraved with Hello Kitty holding a "B"-shaped flower and wearing a wristwatch. Casio's release credits it only to Hello Kitty as "the character who gained popularity chiefly among young women in the 1990s," naming no single film, television series, or anime.
