The Casio MDV106-1A (the "Duro", a collectors' nickname Casio itself now uses) is the black-dialled, resin-strapped MDV-106 released in 2011 on module 2784, mechanically a plain analogue three-hander with a date at three. The interest is all in the case: stainless steel, mineral glass, a screw-lock crown and caseback, an anti-reverse aluminium bezel, 200-metre water resistance, and a marlin printed above the six o'clock index, the hardware of a dive watch at a price where competitors give a gasket and a printed depth figure. What it does not carry is a divers' rating, and Casio says so itself, describing the MDV106-1A as "not an ISO-rated dive watch" but styled after one: the dial reads WR 200M, not the DIVER'S marking ISO 6425 requires.
