The Chopard Happy Sport is the watch that put Chopard's "happy diamonds" onto a steel sports case in 1993. The house's idea, from the 1970s, was to free the diamonds from their settings: loose stones sealed between two sapphire crystals over the dial, so they slide and tumble as the wrist moves rather than sitting fixed. Caroline Scheufele's contribution was pairing that jewellery conceit with an everyday steel case and bracelet: playful and expensive at once, dressy without being formal. The exact 36 mm reference 278582-3001 uses the seven-jewel ETA 955.112 quartz calibre.
