Chopard L.U.C is the collection Chopard builds around its own manufacture movements, named with the initials of the founder, Louis-Ulysse Chopard. It began in 1996, the year the company set up its movement works at Fleurier, as the project of co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, and its first calibre, the 1.96 (today 96.01-L), is a self-winding base movement with twin barrels and a micro-rotor. (Robb Report Malaysia; Wikipedia) The family now runs from the ultra-thin XPS, pictured as a representative execution, to the Chrono One and the Quattro Regulateur. SwissWatchExpo reports L.U.C watches, without naming a model, on Owen Wilson in Midnight in Paris. (SwissWatchExpo)
