Diamond Flower (宝石花, "Baoshihua") is a mechanical-watch trademark Shanghai Watch Factory No. 2 launched in 1972, the first Chinese brand built around the newly standardized "Chinese Standard Movement" the country's watch industry adopted that decade. (NEOBIAO) Its dials carry a small gold flower medallion set with a synthetic ruby at the centre, a mark distinct from the rival state-run Shanghai and Diamond (Zuanshi) brands that shared the same factory system, and the name flourished through the 1970s and 1980s before falling out of production as China's watch industry restructured around quartz and consolidated manufacturing.
