A Doxa pocket watch is one of the pocket watches the Le Locle firm Georges Ducommun founded in 1889 built for decades before the 1967 SUB 300 diver that defines the brand today; its early reputation rested on pocket watches and on the eight-day movements it supplied for automobile dashboards. (Wikipedia) The example Renfield carries in Dracula is a metal open-face watch with a white dial and Roman numerals whose back opens on "the engraved Doxa makers mark and is dated 1906", so the production timed its 1896 London with a genuine Doxa a decade newer than the setting.
