The George Daniels Anniversary is the series of 35 yellow-gold wristwatches George Daniels conceived to mark 35 years since he devised the co-axial escapement, and the first watches he made with his only apprentice, Roger W. Smith, who made them on the Isle of Man to Daniels' designs, later orders finished after Daniels' death in 2011. (A Collected Man) The 40 mm case carries Daniels' double-stepped bezel; the engine-turned silver dial sets a Roman chapter ring around a basket-weave centre, a power-reserve sector at 12 o'clock, a pointer date at 8 and small seconds at 4, with the DANIELS cartouche at 6. The manually wound movement uses Smith's single-wheel co-axial escapement; the series has no reference numbers beyond each serial. (A Collected Man)
