The Hamilton Carlisle is an Art Deco dress watch Hamilton produced for only two years, 1937 and 1938, in a curved, elongated 14-karat gold-filled case housing the 17-jewel caliber 980, with either an applied-gold-numeral or black-enamel dial and a small seconds register set low on the dial. Hamilton reissued the design in 1993 as a quartz "registered edition" with a rose-gold-toned case. Hamilton's own historical film-placement page credits Jeff Goldblum's David Levinson with wearing a Carlisle in Independence Day (1996), without naming which generation. (Hamilton)
