Hamilton Classic Line
More actions
The Hamilton Classic Line is the name Hamilton itself used for its dress-watch collection in the late 1990s, built from the Registered Edition series of vintage shapes the Swatch Group-era company began reissuing in 1983, among them Ventura, Piping Rock, Boulton, Wilshire, Dickens, Emerson, Essex, Contour, Ardmore, and Spur, all drawn from Hamilton's pre-war catalog; the infobox shows the Boulton shape. (Vintage Hamilton Wristwatches) The line was Hamilton's entry in a wave of 1980s–90s heritage-reissue watches; its shapes now sit under the American Classic collection. Hamilton's own film-placement page credits You've Got Mail (1998) and The Out-of-Towners (1999) with the generic "Classic Line" name, without a model; a separate row for that same Out-of-Towners film instead names the Ardmore shape.
