IWC Big Ingenieur Chronograph

The IWC Big Ingenieur Chronograph reference IW378402 is the largest expression of IWC's antimagnetic engineering line in its 2000s incarnation: an 18-carat rose gold case 45.5 mm across and 14.5 mm high, on a black alligator strap. The black dial sets two silvered chronograph counters at twelve and six, the lower carrying the date, against applied gold indices under a tachymeter scale, behind sapphire. Inside runs IWC's in-house flyback chronograph calibre with a 68-hour power reserve, wound by the Pellaton pawl system the firm has used since the 1950s. Where the standard Ingenieur of the era courted engineers, the Big Ingenieur courted the boardroom, gold and outsized. (Commit Ginza; Watch-ID)
