A Nixon watch is one from the Encinitas company founded in 1998 to give surfers and skateboarders watches built around their own culture, with custom cases, bold colours, tide functions and athlete collaborations. (Wikipedia) The watch Asa Butterfield's Ender wears in Ender's Game is known only from Propstore's sale of the screen-used piece, "a Nixon brand watch with stainless steel casing and an adjustable rubber wristband" with the logo at the base of the dial and on the caseback; the lot photograph shows a squared black case on a black rubber strap, and no model is named.
