The Oris ProDiver Date (reference 01 733 7682 7154) is the serious end of the dive range from Oris, the independent Swiss maker, launched around 2009. Its multi-piece case is titanium, 49 mm across and rated to 1,000 metres, under a doubly-domed sapphire crystal, with a unidirectional bezel whose minute scale rides on a rubber-and-ceramic top ring. That bezel is the line's signature: Oris's patented Rotation Safety System locks it against accidental knocks, released by lifting the ring, aligning it to the minute hand, and pressing it back down until it clicks. Inside is the automatic calibre 733, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 38-hour reserve and driving central hands and a date. (Oris; Watchfinder)
