Panerai Luminor 1950 PAM00127
More actions
The Panerai Luminor 1950 PAM00127 is the 2002 special edition of 1,950 pieces that collectors call the "Fiddy", after the 1950 case it revives. A 47 mm steel cushion case carries the high-domed sapphire crystal and the crown-protecting bridge engraved "REG. T.M.", over a matte black sandwich dial marked "LUMINOR PANERAI" and "1950" with a running seconds sub-dial at nine. The hand-wound calibre OP XI drives it.
The reference is a useful illustration of why Panerai model names confuse: it pairs a Luminor Marina dial layout with the Luminor 1950 case, so descriptions calling it either are both defensible. Orlando Bloom wears one as Drew Baylor in Elizabethtown (2005), reportedly his own watch rather than a production piece. (Panerai Magazine; Deployant)
