A Pulsar watch is any watch sold under the Pulsar name, which Hamilton introduced in 1972 on the first all-electronic digital wristwatch, its red LED digits lit by a button, and which Seiko acquired in 1978 and turned into a mid-priced line of mostly analog quartz watches sharing Seiko movements such as the 7T62 chronograph calibre. (Wikipedia) The Hamilton-era LED models have their own page, Hamilton Digital Pulsar. Two books name only the brand: Genie Gatlin's Pulsar with a dead battery in Patty Rice's Somethin' Extra, and Debora's watch in Claribel Alegría's story "Paradise" in Strange Harbors. The photograph shows a later steel quartz alarm chronograph.
