The Q*bert Nelsonic Game Watch is a novelty LCD game-watch released in 1983 by Nelsonic Industries, the Long Island City firm that pioneered putting playable video games on the wrist. Built into a resin case, it pairs an ordinary digital quartz watch with a segmented liquid-crystal screen and push-buttons that run a stripped-down version of the licensed cube-hopping arcade hit of the era. Nelsonic (noted as the first U.S. company to produce game-watches, small devices that work as both timepiece and electronic game) aimed these squarely at younger buyers.
