In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. As they search for answers, the children unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries. Created by Matt and Ross Duffer and running on Netflix from 2016, the series is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, where a government laboratory's experiments tear open a gateway to a parallel dimension the characters come to call the Upside Down. By the Starcourt summer of season three Dustin has swapped his black Casio for Armitron's FM Stereo Radio Watch, the resin 40/6351 of 1981 whose ridged dial tunes 88–108 MHz and plays through headphones plugged into the case, about the minimum for the party's radio operator, who spends the season relaying Russian intercepts over his Cerebro rig. Worn by David Harbour as Jim Hopper. Hopper's silver digital on a steel bracelet is most likely Casio's B-612, the module-350 LCD of 1984 (period-correct for a Hawkins police chief who buys a watch to tell the time and never thinks about it again), but the dial text is never legible on screen, and the similar modern steel B640WD-1A has also been suggested, so the identification stays probable. Max Mayfield's Swatch Yellow Racer (yellow strap and case with a red, green, white and black chequered dial) comes from Swatch's 1984 Originals range, which makes it one of the few watches in the series that is exactly of its moment rather than a few years early or late. Worn by Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers. Jonathan Byers wears a quiet round analog on a dark strap in the first season: polished case, black dial, full Arabic numerals with an inner 24-hour track. The dial matches Timex's Weekender line (closest to the black-dial T2N647), but the Weekender only entered Timex's catalog in the early 2010s, so the watch reads as period styling rather than a 1983 reference, and the identification is likely rather than confirmed. Unidentified calculator watch

Worn by Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven. When the boys disguise Eleven with the pink dress and blonde wig in season one, a black calculator watch (reportedly Mike's, lent so she blends in) completes the outfit. The prop is a generic early-1980s piece with a horizontal layout, LCD at the left and a white keypad grid at the right, and shows no branding in any available frame; for a girl with a lab number instead of a name, a watch nobody can trace fits.
