The Rolex 3523 is a vintage ladies dress watch cased in solid 14-karat gold, its small round dial set on a tapered integrated bracelet with diamonds at the lug shoulders and wound by the 17-jewel manual caliber 1400, the movement Rolex used across its small ladies cocktail watches from the 1950s through the 1970s. Rolex sold pieces at this scale without the waterproof Oyster case, trading water resistance for a jewelry-like profile meant to disappear into an evening cuff rather than announce itself as a tool watch.
