The Rolex Explorer 114270 succeeded the 14270 in 2001 with little visible change: the same 36 mm steel Oyster case and black 3-6-9 dial, now marked Swiss Made, around the new calibre 3130, whose Parachrom hairspring and full balance bridge resist shocks and temperature. It ran until 2010, when the 39 mm 214270 replaced it. (Monochrome; Housekihiroba)
