The Rolex Explorer 214270 is the only Explorer to leave the line's traditional 36 mm: introduced in 2010 in a 39 mm steel Oyster case on calibre 3132, it first carried solid white gold 3, 6 and 9 numerals without lume and a short hour hand. A 2016 revision restored a full-length hour hand and filled the numerals with luminous material; production ended in 2021, when the Explorer returned to 36 mm.
