Seiko's 500 TYPE EVA Watch is a quartz chronograph Imperial Enterprise released October 31, 2022 through PREMICO under license from JR West, marking the 500 series Shinkansen's 25th anniversary and honoring the real "Evangelion Shinkansen" (500 TYPE EVA) that ran the San'yo Shinkansen line from November 2015 to May 2018, limited to 5,000 numbered pieces at ¥49,800 (¥54,780 tax-in). Its purple-gradient dial echoes Evangelion Unit-01's coloring, with a gold NERV-styled roundel at 12 o'clock and a parabolic tachymeter bezel evoking the train's long nose. The steel case (47 by 39.8 by 12.8 mm) is water resistant to 10 bar. Licensed merchandise, not worn in the anime; PREMICO followed it with a Unit-02-colored second model in 2025. (EVA-info; PREMICO)
