The Seiko H556-5050 is an analog-digital alarm chronograph from Seiko's early-1980s H55x family, sharing movement architecture with the H558 "Arnie" diver worn in Predator and Commando. Caliber H556, a three-jewel quartz step motor, drives the analog dial alongside an LCD module giving day/date, a second time zone, an hourly chime, a daily alarm, and a 1/100-second chronograph, lit by an incandescent backlight rather than the EL panel later Seikos used. Its tonneau case carries stepped, studded corners and a tachymeter chapter ring. Carter Burke's screen-worn example, on Paul Reiser's wrist in Aliens (1986), gave the reference its collector nickname. (Hub City Vintage) (I Know Watches)
