The Suunto X-Lander Military is the blacked-out version of Suunto's aluminium outdoor instrument, sold alongside the standard X-Lander from 2004; Suunto describes the variant as having a black aluminium casing and a black rubber strap in place of the leather-strapped original. The instrument package is otherwise the same: a barometric altimeter covering −500 to 9,000 m at 5 m resolution with ascent, descent and vertical-speed logging, a barometer with a weather trend indicator, a digital compass accurate to 5°, and a thermometer. The 65 g case measures 51.2 × 47.7 × 16.4 mm, resists water to 30 m, and runs roughly a year per user-replaceable CR2430 cell. (Suunto)
