Timex Indiglo names the electroluminescent backlight Timex introduced across its watch lines in 1992, following the commercial success of the Timex Ironman. A thin phosphor film beneath the dial glows blue-green at the press of a button, lighting the whole face at once rather than a single point, and became one of the brand's signature features by solving what had been a genuine gap: no easy way to read a watch in the dark.
