The Tudor Prince Oyster 7964, more fully marked "Prince Oysterdate" on the dial, is a 34 mm automatic from the 1960s built in the waterproof Oyster case Tudor licensed from parent company Rolex, complete with a screw-down crown and caseback. It runs on the calibre 2462, a self-winding movement based on the ETA 2452 with Tudor's own rotor and Incabloc shock protection, and the "Prince" name marks the line as Tudor's self-winding counterpart to the manual "Oyster" range, distinguished on the dial by the rose logo Tudor used through this era. (European Watch Company) Tudor supplied the Oyster case and Rolex's own bracelets across steel, gold-capped, and solid-gold executions of the reference.
