Unidentified pocket watch
Photo: Universal Pictures, frame via BAMF Style
An unidentified pocket watch is carried in a waistcoat or trouser pocket, plainly a watch on screen, but its dial or case never reaches the camera clearly enough to resolve a maker's signature; the heading parallels Unidentified watch for wristwatches. Its first record is the hunter-cased watch Gregory Peck's Atticus Finch keeps on a double-Albert chain in To Kill a Mockingbird: Scout opens the cover to read "To Atticus, my beloved husband," and the shot shows a round white dial with Roman numerals and a seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock, without a name. (BAMF Style) A sharper frame or a production record would move the row to a maker's page.
