Vacheron Constantin Tour de l'Île
More actions
The Vacheron Constantin Tour de l'Île is the double-faced grand complication the Geneva manufacture made for its 250th anniversary in 2005, named after the island tower that once housed its workshops. Its 834-part calibre 2750 spreads sixteen complications and astronomical indications over two dials, among them minute repeater, tourbillon, perpetual calendar, second time zone, equation of time, sunrise and sunset times and a sky chart, in a rose gold case 47 mm across and 17.8 mm thick. Seven were sold and an eighth kept by the maker. The first, a unique black-dial piece, made 1,876,250 Swiss francs at Antiquorum in April 2005, and the model took that year's Aiguille d'Or.
