The Vortic Military Edition is an annual limited series from Vortic Watch Company, a Colorado maker that converts antique American pocket watches into wristwatches. Each one is built around a restored Hamilton 4992B, the hand-wound Master Navigator's Watch movement produced for the United States Army Air Corps during the Second World War and carried aboard its bombers as navigational equipment. Vortic machines the case at its Colorado facility from titanium and stainless steel, measuring 49 mm across and 58 mm lug to lug, with a fixed coin-edge bezel and sapphire crystals front and back.
