The Waltham Bathyscape Diver is a steel dive watch the American Waltham Watch Company sold under license from Blancpain, essentially a rebadged Bathyscaphe built on the same manual-wind architecture for the American market. Blancpain introduced the smaller, civilian-oriented Bathyscaphe in 1956, rather than with the original Fifty Fathoms in 1953; Paul Newman's Waltham-signed execution is firmly documented in Harper (1966), establishing its availability by 1966.
