TAG Heuer Professional Night-Dive 980.031
More actions
The TAG Heuer Professional Night-Dive 980.031 is the night-diving execution of the quartz 1000-series diver: a compact black PVD-coated case around 36 mm with matching jubilee-style bracelet, 200 m rating, unidirectional bezel, and a dial made entirely of luminous material so the whole face charges in daylight and glows underwater. Catalogued by Heuer in the mid-1980s, it spans the brand's 1985 acquisition by Techniques d'Avant Garde, and examples exist with both Heuer and TAG Heuer dials. It is the probable first watch of the Timothy Dalton Bond era in The Living Daylights (1987), and TAG Heuer acknowledged the association by reviving the full-lume black-case formula in its 2021 Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver.
